Lucid Constructs

Lucid Constructs explores the intersection between imagination and technology a collection of hand-drawn, surreal compositions that began as dream interpretations before being expanded through AI-driven motion.

Each illustration was conceived entirely by hand, rooted in subconscious imagery and symbolic storytelling. The drawings reveal inner landscapes where logic dissolves, and intuition takes over fragments of emotion, memory, and myth rendered in line and color.

The Role of AI: Extension, Not Replacement

AI entered the process later, not as a creator but as an instrument of transformation. Using it to animate and extend motion became a way to explore fluidity, breathing life into static compositions without compromising their essence. The human vision, composition, and symbolism remain untouched  AI simply became the wind that moves them.

Lucid Constructs demonstrates what happens when traditional artistry meets modern tools: a dialogue between the tactile and the digital, the conscious and the subconscious. It’s not about surrendering authorship to algorithms but using them to amplify the surreal, dream-like quality already present in the work.

Details & Info

Lucid Constructs was an experimental project created for a client’s book on dream interpretation. Each illustration began as a hand-drawn composition, rooted in surreal imagery and emotional symbolism. The goal was to visually translate the logic of dreams unpredictable, poetic, and deeply human, into tangible form. These drawings served as the foundation for exploring how subconscious ideas could be represented through both analog and digital processes.

In my opinion, AI became a natural extension of that exploration. Used intentionally, it acted like another brush in my toolkit, allowing me to introduce subtle motion and atmosphere to the original works without altering their meaning. AI didn’t replace my hand; it amplified it. By combining traditional artistry with emerging technology, this project demonstrates how imagination remains at the center of creation no matter how advanced the tools become.
